AutoMeter......the only way to go. I personally chose the Cobalt line.

I am going to be getting some gauges soon here, most likely the autometer phantom boost, egt & fuel pressure. My question, for each one, mechanical or electric. Also, I have been looking at their downloadable manauls and they aren't very detailed, so are they easy to install? EGT will be be a breeze, my concern is the boost & fuel pressure, what psi ranges shouldI haveand range for the EGT,and lastly besides boost & egt is the fuel pressure a good 3rd choice. Thanks

as far as installing them, I cant answer that question I had mine installed, I went with an electric fuel pressure to avoid having fuel run into the cab but mechanical on all others, if your truck isam auto?...if it is Id reccomend the tranny temp before the fuel pressure. JMO tho. good luck

What about blank covers, I am definitely getting a 3 pod pillar. However say I only buy2 gauges for now, do they sell a blank cover you can pop in there until you get another gauge?

Sharx......those are individual dimmers for each gauge. Each pot, (variable resistor), has a 10,000 ohm, 1 watt rating. One switch (not visible),mountedon the side of the pod shuts them off completely. When I first installed them, the briteness fused my rods and cones together.........LOL.

I keep them bright so when the smoke clears.............you can see them thru my back window. They are mounted in the center of the dash so both pilot and co pilot can monitor. Here's a pic. I'd show you a rear shot but I'd have to powder coat you first....lol,.....and I like your truck. Would hate to dirty it with unburned diesel.

j/k

I think it's a cool setup. Guys behind me see them and decide they want a closer look. I have no problem with smoke eaters.....LOL.

When I am cruising the back roads from PA to NY, I turn them down all the way so I can concentrate on the road. I'm not being a nerd but I installed them with quick disconnects so I can remove the gauge pod with great ease.

Ok guys, good luck with ALL our rides. Even Mayfair.
