I do them at 10K

Oil at 5K, fuel at 10K, air at 15K.

I actually just changed my fuel filter about 10 minutes ago and it wasn't that nasty.

It might sound crazy, but I only change my fuel filter every 20k on my truck and Ive never had any trouble out of any diesel Ive ever owned, even my 93 Ford. You gotta remember the filter companies want us to go withtheir recomendations so they can sell more filters!! I tow heavy with my CTD every day and use more fuel than most owners ( cause Im maxed out on the GVWR) and no problems yet. Do what is right for you and happy motoring.

I would recommend to change the fuel filter every 7500 miles.
