I'm looking to get some specs of the 4x4 transfer case in the RAM Diesels, the badge says int he top 271 D I think and in the lower part says 272. I believe it's 272. Anyways I was looking the gear ratio for 4 Lo mode specifications and the torque, I mean, how though it's the transfer case.

Happens that my NP231 from my XJ seems cannot handle enough abuse and power from my stroker and I'm in the third 231 TC count and again blew.

I just lifted a customer's RAM and that thing it's huge! I think won0t fit in my tiny XJ [X(]

Oh yes, we had some 4x4 fun out of town, there were 2 Dodge Ram '06Cummins wheeling, those things climb whatever you put in front of them, amazing power!

It will take 17800 ft lbs of torque, even I remember what I read in Power Diesel

 

On the tag with the 271 on it there is also a pn 5206xxx number. get the part number and I be able tell for sure what you have.

 

I took a pic, wans't sure of that part number.

That's quite alot of torque it can handle
