RE: Im officially ready!
That sounds like some "arrangements" I've heard of couples having. [8D] Don't feel bad about the hrs, before I got married, I spent the majority of my 20's working 50-70 hrs a week. During the hurricanes in 2004, it was 7/16's,,, that will wear u out quick. Hard work pays off though,, you'll be glad u did it in the end.

I would say 94-98.4's or 03-present trucks. . .I dont have anything againts the 98.5-02's, however there seem to be more issues with those years, block problems to the VP44 injector pump.94-98.4 auto's left alot to be desired, however if you know what you need to do the auto's can handle anything you throw at them. 03-present trucks are the same, the auto can handle some good engine mods, however over 70hp you would see problems pop up real quick.
the sticks can handle a little more stock, all you need to do is change out the clutch. the aluminum bell houseing on the NV4500's and 5600's can handle alot of power, however that will become the weak spot, it will take alot to get there though.

i here ya i wish i could affoard a 3rd gen but once again im still a youngin and dont wanna be paying big payments..... So i will look for the twelve valve... just curious what kinda power can you push outta one of these...... and can you get an aftermarket 6 speed for them.... i would imagine with the stick you can keep your rpms a little lower tooo... is it a hard truck to "race" when its stick?
sry i have a million questions this is one huge decision to me!
