100k REPORT !!
Aright CTD fans, my 2004 3500 Dually just hit a 100k and I thought Id give you my 2 cents on these babies. But first you gotta know this is my workhorse not a play toy like I wish it was. I put my first brake pads on the front at 90k, the back pads still look DANG good. The first serpentine belt was replaced last night ( alot of cussing and straining on that darn tentioner by the way) I got 70k out of the first tires. The only problem Ive had to date is the lift pump failed at 92k, But it was under warrantyDollar for dollar the Dodge is the way to go, if you want to keep more cash in your pocket at the end of the day. I pull a 27ft gooseneck about 750 miles a week during my busy season, loaded down I gross between 24 to 26k. To get that kind of service out a truck with so little trouble is whats got the other guys buzzing about. thats why its so hard to find a used CTD, The lots are full of 6ohno"s and maxipads. Im just hope you guys get the service Ive enjoyed the last 4 years. Im looking for the next 100k to be just as sweet, I know anything can happen but heck fire I cant complain now. Good Luck with your rides

that is awesome... I hope I continue down the same path... I"m at 60k now in my '05 and have had zero problems. Had my brakes looked at yesterday and the fronts are down to 30% & the rears look like new so I guess a brake job in the front is in the future... did you buy new rotors or have the original ones turned?

RE: 100k REPORT !!
Steve, I did not even turn the rotors, I could not believe the pads lasted 90k, The rotors were to clean to turn. I swear it stops as smooth as it did the day I bought it. I use a wire brush on my air drill to scuff my rotors a little to make the pads seat. Im not gonna turn mine unless there's a groove. I try to keep my original rotors as long as I keep my truck, Those brake shops will eat em up fast cutting on them.

humm, your making a strong argument against tossing the stockers... I guess I'll have to look at it when the time comes.
Drew, that is just nuts what that guy is doing per year. I'd like to hear where he's at in another year. I'll bet he'll top 500~600k or more before needing any major work.

Well that statement makes me feel better about the03 CTD 2500 4x4I found with 130,000 on it for my son. We are going to look at is saturday so well see. It had a gooseneck in it and it has off road tires and lifted so will that cause it not to last as long. I want it to last for years without stuff breaking.
