Here in Denver, the tweakers steal the sprinklers and backflow preventers right out of the city parks with the water still on. Have not heard about the cats though, I guess it is just a matter of time.
Well at least theyre only stealing them from Toyotas.... not like its an important truck gettin hurt..... I dont know why people dont just keep their paws to themselves and buy their own stuff!!! and get a real job!
on the north end of atlanta you would have guys cut the lines on household condensors and take the coils to recycling centers. this was not long ago when the price of aluminum went up.
hahaha thats nuts people will do anything for money though.... i remember a couple of times people have stolen stuff off of our job sites (block, tools, even a tarp) and thats just frustrating when you run out of block on the day your planning on being finished and you have to make another run for like 15 blocks

Yeah, I think the toyota converters have higher amounts of precious metals than most domestics. Same for BMW, mercedes, lexus, etc. Recyclers are paying good cash for those converters because they get a lot for them. Look and see what they are going for on ebay. Recyclers are paying $200+ for a large used toyota converters.
GeeI hope they don't steal my converter
I don't have the money to replace it.

Let em crawl under my truck and try and steal mine. I think they'll be pretty dissapointed when they can't find one.

We've got guy's who break into houses and rip all of the copper pipes out and sell it as scrap. I can't imagine ever being that desperate.
