Low Idle Setting.
Hello there members. I'm looking for some info on how to increase my low idle setting. There wasn't much info here on the forum, so I thought I put the question out to the membership. I do own a 1998 Ram 2500 CTD. How does one increase the low idle? What sort of work does it entail? Thanks.

RE: Low Idle Setting.
my first question is this. . .12 valve or 24 valve???
for the 24 valves your out of luck. the idle is controlled by the computer and you cannot "push button" it up or down like the 3rd gens. your 12 valve there is an idle adjust screw somewhere on that P7100. . .this is something I've never adjusted, they have all been in spec. gunna have to dig around if you have a 12 valve and the idle is low.

RE: Low Idle Setting.
1. Get a piece of fishing line and an old throttle lever off of a lawn mower
2. Duct tape fishing line to throttle
3. Duct tape lawn mower throttle to dash board and attatch fishing line
Now all you do is throttle up the mower throttle and voila, high idle feature enabled.
Sorry jake, couldnt help it.
