Default I have converted!

Hey Everyone...

Well now I have a better reason to post here on dodgeforum.com.... Not only has my company sponsored this site for the past few months, after owning 17 Chevy Trucks in a row, I finally made the leap and bought my 1st Dodge.

Today I took delivery of a 2004 Dodge RAM Quad Cab Dually with the Turbo Cummins engine.

I only have 250+ miles on her but I must say I am impressed so far with the power this little engine puts out! There are a few things I need to get used to coming from a Chevy but I do believe I will be a very happy camper!

The main reason for selecting this truck is that we also purchased a 5th wheel trailer that will weigh a little over 14,000 lbs! I haven't towed it yet with the new truck but sure it will do fine.

Ive got a cummins in mine as well. . .just wait till about 2000 miles. . .you'll begin to hear that turbo wake up a bit more.

I'm also very impressed with the engine as well, but I realy dont have much to compare it to seeing as most of the vehicles Ive driven were either 4 bangers or military trucks.

one of these days I'm gunna take this thing off road. . .from what way 1st gear acts in 4wd low I should be able to climb a mountian idleing (yea I have the 6spd manual)

i think dodge has their cummins engine right where they want it. ford has that v10 and thinks they have it going on but that dodge inline 6 would pull that v10 backwards i think you made a good choice. Russell from TN
