I had my truck for a week and yesterday the engine light come on driving down the highway on a 175 mile trip to visit family. On the way back it it displayed catalyst full service required on the message board. A brand new truck tell me that ain't bull****

That is probably the DPF, it should clean itself out by doing a regeneration on it's own. If it hasn't take it in, I'm sure that is covered under warranty. You haven't run any LSD in it have you? That would clog it up quickly and probably give them reason to void the warranty. I hope you save your fuel receipts. Good luck and post the outcome.

No I haven't run lsd in it and I keep all my receipts for taxes so they will have to cover it but it is still a pain in the a$$.

probably a programming issue. Just a reflash to fix. At least that's the ongoing problem in the otr world.

I know it sucks, but the new emissions technology is going to have some growing pains. Hang tuff, you still have the premier work horse in the market. Proably not much comfort at this point, but you'll get past this and enjoy your new truck again.

From what I understand that means that exhaust is clogged but if that is the case shouldn't I be able to tell by the way the truck runs.

from what I was told you have to lock it in gear and hold it at a certain RPM for a certain amount of time refer to you owners manuel

Sorry to hear your havin probs already. Probably takes them awhile to get all the bugs worked out on those new engines.

I expect things like this when I bought a truck with a brand new engine so its not that upsetting
