Differential Binding when in 4WD??
Just bought a '04 2500 Heavy Duty with automatic transmission, quad cab and long box. 38,000 miles. Love the CTD!! 4WD seems smooth when going straight but there is a definite jerky feeling in the front end when turning, enough to skuff the tires on dry pavement. Any ideas where to start looking?

all 4x4s will do that on pavement. it woudl be wise not to do that because it can damage things when you use 4x4 on pavement and try to turn because the pavement isn't allowing the front to slip at all and can casue binding. you should ride in my wrangler when it's in 4x4 and i make a turn even on dirt. it hops like almight hell lol.

i'll bet. I'm thinking of lookin for a set of axles from the rubicon models. which have arb air lockers in them which are selectable that way i get the best of both worlds. but that's after i get a CTD.

driving technique does have a lot if not all to do with it. I dunno if i'll be keeping it or not i mean a CTD is not a cheap vehicle but when i was 16 i didn't even know much about dodge trucks or about diesels. so i got a jeep. it's in great condition so i figure i can get a good trade in on it. not to mention it's the last of the tj's. what do you guys think of that new JK model. i'm not to srue what to think yet.
