Meag Cab Capacity

RE: Meag Cab Capacity
The weight of the cab has nothing to due with the front gvwr. that is the maximum weight you can put on the front axle. The additional weight of the cab simply lowers the extra amount of weight you can add to the front axle3500 Mega Cab with 3.73 Axle Ratio You Can Tow 13050 lbs [/align] Gross Vehicle Weight Rating(GVWR)[i]=10500 Payload[i]=2675 Curb Weight[i]=7825 Curb WeightFront/Rear=4501/3324 GAWR[i]Front/Rear=4750/9350 Gross Combination Weight Rating(GCWR)[i]=2100The 3500 Quad Cab

The Mega Cab weighs 217lbs more than the Quad but only 21lbs more on the front axle so the question is why is the front axle on the quad rated to carry a higher MAXIMUM weight than the Mega. My dealer is waiting to hear back from his chrysler contact (on vacation til mon) but today I asked him to have his parts guy look up the front end parts for both and see if there are differences. Maybe they don't want you to put a plow on a Mega
