I still find this hard to believe ...

The U.S. pickup market is dominated by Ford Motor Co.'s F-Series and General Motors Corp.'s Chevy Silverado, the two best-selling vehicles in the world's biggest auto market.

I'll bet I see 2-1 Dodge to Chevy mix over here How can Chevy still be on top over Dodge?

you're probably right but, other than Mersedes weren't the Japanese one of the first to come out with a diesel powered motor for the consumers ? I know Isuzu has been in the game since the 1930's.

They've ( the Japanese ) also built the most powerful diesel motor in the world....this thing is pretty impressive !

I know that doesn't mean anything but, the Japanese do know how to built a car. I'm sure that truck will be built here in the US though. In Japanese, most of the passenger cars and trucks aren't even as big as a Dakota.

not to jack your post Drew but, since we're talking about the Japanese. I grew up in japan ( okinawa ) and spent 16 yrs there. The Japanese are some of the most conciderate, polite and respectful people you will ever meet. The war days were long ago and I think both our countries have come a long way since then.

Since Steve posts some cool trips into the mountains.....

This is from my recent trip there.... thought you guys might like a trip to Japan....

I agree with you Mayfair. I'm 45 min north of Philly and I see WAY more Dodge pick-ups than Ford or Chevy. I've wondered how they say they lead the market?

they are probably looking at overall sales, besides even though dodge has introduced the 4/5500's not many have sold since ford and GM have dominated the market for so long it will take some time.

dont forget about the VW's little diesel. that thing was a true trooper.
