I just installed my new Quadzilla Commander and after the install when I hooked the batteries back up, the check engine light was on. When I did the 3 time ignition trick I got P1693 and P1687. The P1687 makes since because I had to pull the cluster fuse to wire up the commander. I don't know what the 1693 means. Truck runs fine so I cleared the codes and drove it for a while.

 

P1693. . .Turbo Charge Control Circuit Malfunction

sounds like the MAP sensor. . .if it comes back might need to clean it or replace it.

 

Ok makes sense. I had to pull the map sensor connector and hook a wire tap to the harness. If it comes back, then I'll worry about it. I drove the truck about 40 miles on the interstate today with no codes.

 

I tried clearing my codes but only the check engine light went off why how do i know that the codes are only from me pulling my cluster fuse????

 

If the CEL doesn't come back it's almost certainly from pulling the fuse...
