Default NV5600 Question

Does the NV5600 have a test port for a temp sensor? Is this even worth fooling with on a manual tranny? My new quadzilla commander has a tranny temp sensor port, but I can't seem to find anyplace to hook it up. Does anyone out there have an NV5600 with a temp sensor on it?

Not sure on the port, but you can always pick up a pto cover plate and put a sensor in it (weld an insert to thread the sensor in), then swap covers when it's time to service the trans.

for the 5600. . .I wouldnt worry about it unless you were pulling big loads, then the coolers that go in place of the PTO covers would be sufficient.

That's pretty much what Quadzilla told me. They suggested monitoring the oil temp instead. I didn't know there was a test port on the filter housing. I'm gonna hook it up this weekend.

Yea, I would wait on swapping that pto cover too. I just tore apart my tranny and that stuff isn't cheap.

I put it on the oil test port on the oil filter housing. Works great! You can even change the heading on the readout from "Transmission" to "Oil Temp".
