How do you remove the oil filter on your CTD?
Due to how high it is in engine compartment (Its going ot be a lot more difficult now tha tI have a 4x4) I use the pos orange cap style wrench from genos. It allows me to get a few extensions on it with my ratchet. I also use the 1 gallon ziplock bag trick, never spill a drop!

I get somebody else to do it!
I get somebody else to do it!
Step 1) Drive to dealer.
Step 2) Tell them change my oil please.
Step 3) Go watch the tech work on my truck and get info from him.
Step 4) Bend over at the register.....
Step 5) Drive away.

Seriously, when I do start doing it myself I will get the cap style wrench and use a ratchet with extentions....

Get the filter so it is loose, put a plastic ziplock bag around the bottom up to the top. Unthread it in the bag zip the bag up and be done. I use a band wrench from the top side.

Here's a tip if you for filters that have a straight shot to the ground. Get a long punch and sharpen the tip and poke a hole in the bottom of the filter, let it drain into the pan. This way it doesn't spill all over when you unthread it.
