I've read about all the occupations here and I was wondering, aren't there any other mariner's out there.
I'd be surprised to think that I'm the only one here. How bout it,.............anyone out there?

I've thought about being a marine diesel tech. Actually still thinking about it, maybe in a few years

Hey Jake, Here in south Louisiana, along the coast as well as along the Miss. River, marine diesel mechanics are well paid and highly sought after. There are plenty of oil field and river industy vessels to work on. Might be worth your while to come on down and check out Mardi Gras or the Jazz Fest during the job hunt. Just a thought.............

If it wasnt humid and rainy it wouldnt be so bad, the three together makes it horrible. You walk to your truck and you are sweating when you get there.[:'(]
