I've read about all the occupations here and I was wondering, aren't there any other mariner's out there.
I'd be surprised to think that I'm the only one here. How bout it,.............anyone out there?

I've thought about being a marine diesel tech. Actually still thinking about it, maybe in a few years
Hey Jake, Here in south Louisiana, along the coast as well as along the Miss. River, marine diesel mechanics are well paid and highly sought after. There are plenty of oil field and river industy vessels to work on. Might be worth your while to come on down and check out Mardi Gras or the Jazz Fest during the job hunt. Just a thought.............
That would be cool, then we could finally have a south louisiana truck meet.
I personally enjoy the weather in March. I beleive that Mardi Gras is in early Feb. this coming year.Definately no heat then. Would be glad to help hosting a truck meet.

Thanks for the compliment Tommygunz. We searched for a long time for a particular floor plan in a used model and just couldn't find it. Then along came this sweet deal from a dealer in northern Indiana and weclosed the deal on the phone. I ended up driving up there to pick it up. Northern Indiana is like the mecca of rv manufactures and some good deals can be found there. My model is the 36RE which has the rear entertainment center. We gave back the recliners for a credit and ordered a fouton in their place. That way my two daughters each have a full bed to sleep on. It's definately more than we need, especially for me coming from a backpacking past, but we're building some great memories now!
