Adjusting tranny bands isn't a bad thing.
It's routine work.
If u don'tdo it, you'll ware out the bands.
You'll have sloppy shifts and eventually know shifts.
Tranny bands have material on them kinda like a clutch or break pad.
Check out steve's tranny repair from a while back. He has some good pics

glad to hear it was a simple fix. So how hard would it have been for you to do the work?

Well Steve I don't know.
I really didn'tlook at it.
But a tranny is a tranny and if I have a good repair manul
I can fix it.
The problem was the timing of the failure.
I work third shift and I don't have alot of time during the week.
So it was more convient to have the shop fix it.
