What should I look for?
My guess is the pump or the valve body.

looks like your govenor pressure sensor is gone. look at page 21-651 (2286 in the pdf page window) and the paragraph on operation on the right hand side... says the this sensor provides an input to the VB to tell it when to shift. have a look...

Well now that doesn't sound all that difficult.
Maybe I can do it myself.
I've rebuilt chevy 350 turbo's before
Why not tear into this one
Thanx Steve
I'll go and have the line pressure checked and see if they can scan for codes.

yeah looking at it further, if you go to where it talks about the electronic govenor it talks about how it works andwhat it needs to work right. shouldnt be too tough if you've done a 350 before...

Well the trucks on it's way to the shop.
I'm gonna let the local tranny guy look at it.
He quoted me some prices of common problems
and it didn't sound too bad.
Steve the govenor pressure sensor is the suspected culprit.
But he won't know until he checks it out.
While it's there he's gonna change the fluid and filter again and adjust the bands.
Hopefully there's nothing else.

My 2000 started shifting funny, cost me $300 bux for 2 sensors and a servicing. one of the sensors IIRC was the govenor pressure sensor.
