Likely because you couldnt fit anywhere anymore.

I like them for the long road trips. The back seat folds flat to make a bed. I LOOOVE that !!

 

Speakle - it seems i could get a tremendous deal on a 1500 Hemi - something like $10,000 off sticker (with incentives & all). With the diesel it's anywhere from $3,500-$6,000.
If i was going for a 4x4, i would defintely consider the mega cab as (to me) it looks better with the raised front of the 4x4 suspension, but i really only need 2WD and(again to me) the Mega cab 2WD just looks too low.
I could probably blow through a tank of gas a week with driving to work and errands plus since i moved to Arizona, my foot seems to be a bit heavier

 

For a brand new truck I have found this in my search,
2007 Diesel 4x4 nicely equipped right around $34k, this is the 5.9
Same truck in 2x4 is most likely about $31500-$32k
I have no idea on 1500's but 2500's with the hemi I have seen brand new 4x4 for around $28k, once again, same truck in a 2x4 is likely around $26k or so or about $2k-$2500 less than the 4x4.
