I think you're not familiar with the Cummins. The early 6.7s had issues with the emissions equipment fouling up, they weren't made for long periods of idling, but there have been changes made to the software and the system in general. Apparently the current generation is having fewer warranty problems than even the old 12 valves.

We have a Ram 3500 exhibiting the same issue. What was your final resolution?

9 year old thread, and the original poster hasn't been seen in years..... Don't expect an answer.

Hello Kpsipe,

We're sorry to hear you're experiencing this concern. Are you thinking you'd like to have your Dodge dealer take a look? If so, feel free to send us a direct message as we'd be glad to help with that process.

Question oil in intercooler

I have the 2008 with the 6.7. 135k. I did the delete and installed the banks air horn only cuz I was concerned about the dang deadly bolt! I guess I could have skipped the delete part but was told by local guys the milage and power decreases the longer the truck goes with the exhaust in tact. Especially since this is before def. I installed a new radiator and noticed oil in the intercooler. Not dripping and I put on a new turbo 3 years ago. I'm sure there's lots of comments, but 1. ideas where the oil is coming from?? 2. I can't really tell that much difference with the delete complete, wonder if I should have left it all in tact?? 3. Any other suggestions on preventative items to try to get more miles?? Yes I've changed the crank case filter, but not since 2 years ago while performing the delete! Thanks guys, I enjoy reading the helpful comments if one can sort through the garbage !!
