Steve-

What was added by getting the r49 programming? How much did it run you? I bought one used and the only options I have on the screen is the power screen w/ boost and EGT, High EGT, Tourqe, Box temp. What program is that? Does the r49 add more power, or just features?

Sorry for the influx of questions, I've been meaning to post these questions, just been to lazy.

Oh...one more thing, where do you have yours mounted in the cab? I used the ash tray, but I'm not loving it there.

looking at your signature... looks like you already have the r49 programming... adds multiple programs, timing, economy, early twins, late twins, adds rail pressure control. above & beyond the stock programming... the 2 twins programs have full fueling at different boost levels and are there to get either a big single or dual's spun up quicker. they sent a 12 page install/feature sheet that I still need to go over before the install tomorrow morning.

as for mounting the controller... there is a spot between the headlight switch/vent bezel & the steering column where mine is going to get mounted... I'll take some pics when it's done. previously however it sat on the steering column

Thanks.....When I bought it, it said that it was the r49, but when I received it, along with that 12 page deal with instructions and all the menu options, I didn't have any of the options they were talking about. Am I wrong in assuming I am missing something? At some point I will call TST, but I just haven't yet

there is a trick to getting to the added features, check your manual and see how to get access to them and double check before you call. you do know there is an economy program right? I havent heard any feedback on it from anyone so I dont know what to expect. I will be playing with it and the other programs eventually... right now i'd just like to get 5/5 power back and lay into it to see how the tranny holds up

$135 was the cost... going to go do the install here shortly then figure out all of the new updates. they sent the rail pressure harness along with it so there is a new piece to install this time around.

well the install is done, reinstalled all of the wiring harnessesincluding the additional rail pressure harness& mounted my controller on the dash with velcro... might have to re-do it with small nuts & bolts if the velcro doesnt hold up, but for now it looks pretty solid.

time to take it for a spin... [sm=gears.gif]
