Poly bushings are great although they do cost $$.

Actually, I can't remeber if the spring pin bushings and shackle bushings are rubber or not. I'll have to crawl under there and look tomarrow. I've never changed them, so I think they are rubber.

I think there is a rubber one at the top where the bolt goes through the busshing. although there is a cheeper fix

Turn up the radio.. / remove silencer ring and hit the gass./ install an aero and hit the gas again./ pester a ford and hit the gas / you get the picture

That's true, I don't think I ever hear any suspension noise over the engine in my truck

I dont hear it when I am in the truck only when I am getting in an dout of the bed or hooking or unhooking my trailer. As for the knock, that just doesnt sound good. I will look into this more tomorrow and will update.

Ya

That knock doesnt sound good to me either.. might be a bad bushing from the factory. ask the neibors to get in the back and bounce it while you look under at the leaf connections ill bet you will find something there

I was always told/thought that a lot of heavy duty trucks with heavy suspension had squeaky springs in the rear. My '03 does it and so does my brother in laws '05 dually.

I had this problem on my 98. I just sprayed the whole leaf pack with WD40 and some other lubricants. and it went away and never came back

As the post above. Try spraying the bolts w/ WD40. I had the same problem w/my nerf bars where they bolted up underneath the truck. I sprayed the bolts w/ WD40and noise gone. I know it'sdifferent from the rear springs, but same concept. Remember WD40 is like duct tape. It fixes everything.
