One more stupid question. Does this have to be welded or does it bolt on with clamps?

i prefer welded but i hear clamps work too. I think the hard part is getting the old one off if you want to clamp it

Yeah, what he said! Can you replace the kitty with a straight pipe then add the aero?

Either or

You can buy these cool clamps that fit over the whole joint if you want ( Verocious also sells them ) or if you're going to have the Aero installed you can have it welded.

At the time I also needed a straight pipe because I was eliminating the resonator and the Aero was shorter than the stock muffler was. Unfortunately I couldn't order it with one end flared ( to fit over the existing pipe ) so I had to take it to a shop to have it flared. While ther, I asked the guy how much to install the whole thing. He quoted me I think it was 100 bucks so I let him do it. I then sent back the clamps that I ordered which I think cost about 25 bucks so the whole thing wound up costing me 75 bucks.

I used clamps on mine. Works fine. Also, if you are going to do the CAT delete at the same timeI wouldmake sure to take care when removing it (or tell the shop if they do it) so that you donttear it up. You probably want to keep it just in case you want to put it back on. Mine was freagin loud (set off car alarms loud). That part was kinda cool at first but got old real quick.

I don't want it loud so I guess I'll just leave the CAT on.

I don't think the cat has JACK to do with the sound as much as it does with restricting the airflow. If you can get away with it, I'd 86 it.

I hear ya about being worried about it being TOO loud, that's why I'd reccomend the resonated version Aero.
