Default Pulled the trigger Juice with Attitude coming

At long last I settled on the Juice with Attitude, just ordered and it should be early next week.
I hope I can get it on ( Mayfair opertunity here ) with out the wife noticing me in the garage for an hour or so under the hood of the Ram.
Anyone else have one, if so did you hook up to your existing EGT probe, or use a differant one. I have O/H gauges and EGT is one and would like to keep it functional, or can you run two gauges off of one probe?

Thanks guy/gals

Ralph

Just dont hook up the EGT on the Edge, I just disconnected mine when I went with my Auto Meter guages. You may be able to hook them both up to the probe but Id just not hook up the Edge and use one of the other guages it has

Thanks Sharx, I did not even think of that ( a little off today daughter pretty sick ) , anyway,I thought that was neede to help with the de-fueling part of it, or is that feature just on the Edge with Attitude I wonder ? I am not worried about that feature as I will only be towing /hauling with the truck or MT , just thought it would also be nice .

If your current pyro probe is pre-turbo, put the juice probe after the turbo and have the best of both worlds and use the turbo timer

Hey Ralph, A few weeks ago, that kit (06' model) was installed in my truck. As for your question regarding the egt, I also had an egt gauge prior to the kit going in. My isspro gauge egt probe was installed in the exhaust manifold on the flat top side. The probe that came with the Edge kit was installed in a port in my Pacbrake, which is after the turbo. Also, gaugeworks sell a great A-pillar mount for the attitude. I would imagine that you could run two gauges off of one probe. The edge probe has standard eyelet connections via small nuts and bolts. I don't see a problem there. I find it interesting to see the two different egt temps (pre and post turbo). A word of caution that is likely not going to happen soon to anyone. The shop that I purchased the edge from volenteered to install at a discount price, so I agreed. He's done it many of times before. Appearantly in his haste, he had misstakenly switched the injector plugs( there are two). The 1-2-3 was plugged into the 4-5-6. There wasn't any harm done, just that the damn thing didn't work. Drove me nuts for a few days till I figured it out. Also, it was advised to me by moconst and speakle to disconnect your batteries prior to installing the kit. Something about the truck computer resetting itself. You're really going to enjoy this, but a word of advice......................the fever only gets WORCE !!!!!!!!!!

the EGT gage and the juice wont read the proper temp if you hook them up like that. I tried it one day on some of my test equipment I have at work(yes I can do thermocouples) and the temps were consistantly low by a good bit due to the voltage difference and the output from the probe being split between two gages.

you would be better off drilling another hole, and useing the juice for the turbo timer post turbo.

Hey thanks guys ALL great advice, I do have a shut down timer now also, and the EGT probe is as shown in Bigriver's pictures ( infact under his hood looks the same as mine, Pac Brake and all) so yea a good idea would be post Turbo for it then.

Thanks guys I knew you would have the solution for me.

Sharx thanks about my daughter, she is 20 and is in the process of making me a grandpa, and there are some major complications coming up now in the final stage, only 4 weeks to due date, and she has spent all day in the hospital , but is now on her way home to be bed ridden for the duration
Hmmm, me a Grandpa at 45 , I never would have thought LOL

Yeah, I'd go post turbo as well and that way you could also use the turbo cool down feature. You can do it !!
