First off, pull the air to airboot off the intake elbow, then use one of the clamps to hold a rag over the end of the pipe so nothing can get in it. You can see where I put my fitting in at

Uses greas on the tap and the drill an when your done, use a vaccum to suck out all the metal shavings if there are any. I put mine in this location so the metal shavings would fall out the elbow when drilling and tapping.

Does haveing it there give you a more accurate boost reading? Can you just remove that black boot and let the shavings just fall out?

Some other guy suggested moving the boost bolt moer towards the rear of the engine ( cylinder 5 ? ) to get less of an erratic reading. whadda ya think of that?

What size tap did you use?

Thanks !!

npt 3/8 tap. Mayfair I pulled that black boot off the intake elbow and used the clap to hold a rag over it so metal shavings wouldn't fall in it. You can try moving your boost bolt around to see if you can find a spot where the gauge doesn't bounce.

Thanks Jake, that looks pretty simple to do.
