on my 03 the lamp light is going on and off and the beeper is doing the same. it is driving me nuts too. there is not any lamp that is out either. is there a censer that might be going bad? i have not took it to the dealership yet. i was going to check with you guys first if any ever had the problem.

My buddy has an 03 short box. his blinker light on his drivers side had a short. When going down a bumpy road it was fun to hear the ding ding ding ding ding. dading! then quiet ding ding ding. That'd be my guess over the sensor.

that is about what mine does. was it in the bulb or the insert that it goes in. i have traced the wires looking for naked spots.

From my understanding on what he said it was an actual short where the wire was stripped naked. But... it doesn't make very much sense if it was that. I'd say maybe the insert. You could just have a friend follow you and have it go down the bumps and see if you have any blinking light maybe run with your brake pedal partially pushed to see if it's one of your brakes, not quite sure but couldn't tell how you'd check the blinkers. Back to the point. I'm not real sure how you'd figure it out by yourself without lots of tinkering and time. But it's cheaper though!

I c I c. Good deal. Buddy of mine tore out his knees. I gotta safe before i can rodeo again. Umm... you might do your best to find out which lamp has the short. fairly simple. front back left or right. then you can tear into the light assembly and look at all the close wires. I'd imagine it'd be in the back. No more than 6 inches in due to the fact that after that the wires are really protected. Mine never had any stock wiring it was all cut for the flatbed when i bought it who ever did it white trashed it like no other. I wish it was still fairly stock, would have looked nicer, been easier. But nope. Anyways. I'd imagine it'd be right near the back of the light Possibly a broken wire (still barely hanging on) or a loose connection. If it were me that'd be what I'd say.
