Gauges
I got the latest 4Wheel & Offroad Magazine since it featured Diesels. This pickup is my first diesel and I am loving it so far. I was thinking about buying gauges for it. They had one gauge from tsperformance (tsperformance.com) it measures EGT's, Boost, Fuel Pressure, RPM's.
The picture that they have on their website has it just sitting next to the speedo. I really did not like the placement or how it looked in the pickup. I was wondering what guys are using now to measure EGT's, Boost and Fuel Pressure, these days.

RE: Gauges
Pyro is the same as exhaust gas temperature (egt). As for autometer, everyone sells them. Napa's got them and geno's garage has got them

RE: Gauges
I'm planning on running Boost, EGT, Pyro, Fuel pressure or maybe the low pressure light like jake (never thought of that before), most likely trans temp even though i'm running manual, couldn't hurt. Plus if you don't like certain set ups I'm planning on running a top center 3 gauge pod which mounts just above your rearview mirror and then if i go with fuel pressure gauge i'll run a 2 gauge pod on my steering column. Possibly customize the 3 gauge center pod to sit on my dash. That way it'll be more in my vision range. Ummm.. Not sure you'd really need a tach. Unless your stock tach was way off. Up to you I guess.

RE: Gauges
yeah I think it would be pretty badass. I'd have too look again to find the ones on the steering column. But like i said kinda going for someone outside in another vehicle to the inside view think it's fairly stock old work truck (since i have a flatbed even if i'm going to paint it and such and make it look nice for a flatbed truck) and then oh wait he has some work done on the engine and it's actually a litle faster than I thought. And gauges are the first step to fixing your truck up. well you could with out em. but.... safer to realize if your going to blow up something so you can stop in time (hopefully) than to just fix it up and then go oh ****. that just aint right! Like my buddy and his stroker. Chipped, intercooler, straight pipe, banks turbo (so he says haven't seen it), and CAI. He just had to replace the turbo because they were pulling a load and had the chip turned up and blew up the turbine.
