#1 Yes there are Ford trucks with Cummins engines in them. Just go to truckpaper.com and browse the medium duty trucks and you will see them.

#2 Ford never owned Cummins, just some stock that they quickly dumped. All the details about the stock purchase and quick sale is on the Cummins web site. They make it very clear that Ford never owned Cummins or had enough stock for controlling interest.

Somewhere in Diesel Power they were talking about covering a build up of a Ford chassis with a Cummins engine and an Allison tranny (courtesy of a new adapter)...could be interesting.
a few years ago I saw this nice lifted 3500 w/ the allison GM uses. dont ask how he got around the computer, I didnt want to crawl from under that truck. he told me he could do 80 @1800rpm (3.73's)

That's what I was thinking about the computer too.But I guess if you've got the money to spend there is someone somewhere that has the answer. Would be nice if we all had that problem.
