Ford did buy Cummins just before the contract with Dodge came up for renewal and forced Dodge not to build a true 4dr p/u in the new contract.
They then sold their controling interest and the new owners told Dodge go ahead and build what you want. so now we have quad and mega cabs.

ford never 'owned' cummins. . .they just owned shared in cummins stock. ford sold off it's shared years ago but still buy's ISB's ISC's and ISX's from them for their medium and heavy duty truck segment(F-6,7,&8's)

this is the truck i drive @ work to and from jobs and its a ford truck with a cummins engine in it..... the truck is the best truck our company has ever seen! i like to think of my truck as this trucks little brother
