I know there are a lot of posts about boxes, but I don't think I've seen this particular combination. I've got a powermax competition and the edge w/ attitude. I originally got the edge to replace the tst, but if I end up putting a new turbo in I am throwing around the idea of stacking them now. I had talked to the guys at TST and they said that for my year it doesn't add any timing directly, aka the ECM will add some because it thinks the load is lighter than it really is. I know the edge does timing, but if the TST doesn't it should be ok to stack them correct? The TST is supposed to be just a duration box and gives a lot better throttle response than the edge but also ran too high of EGT's for my liking and I like some of the features of the edge, like the turbo timer to much to get rid of it.
The more I think about it the more I'm leaning towards one of the silver series as they have a 74 mm exhaust turbine that is supposed to help with surging and make spool up faster.
Well the clutch that I'm putting in says it's good to at least 600 and the silver 62 that I was looking at is supossedly good to 650, but with the 74 mm exhaust wheel should still spool at low RPM and not give me any surging issues, it is expensive though. So if I go to stack them, they are both supposed to tap the pump wire, do I still tap with both or just one, and if just one I'm assuming it would be the TST right?
When you say "then the stock harness" are you talking about the MAP sensor connection? I thought it would go edge, TST, then the stock harness, otherwise the boost gauge on the attitude will be off, but if the other way works better, I would definitely do that.
I've got a regular boost gauge as well so I could do either. I just thought if the edge does timing and all it should probably know the boost whereas the TST just says hey dump in some more fuel.
