well every time I turn my key on, there is no wait to start light, never. Even when cold.

And my edge box is resetting itself. Every time I turn the key to on i get the accept conditions screen, and all my settings are lost.

Not sure what is happening but any help would be appreciated.

Did the wait to start lamp happen before the edge install?

How cold is cold? My light doesn't come on unless it is below 50 I think. It sounds like your power to the edge is being interrupted, or the edge is just bad.

On the juice/attitude, the 1st 4 times you start it it will ask you to "accept conditions" after that it just comes on, I'd check all the connections.

I am not sure how difficult it is to get to, but have you tried seeing if it wasn't that the light bulb went out?
Mine comes on every time I start the truck no matter how hot it is outside, usually it goes away at the same time the rest of the lights do if it is over 60, but not always.
As far as bad to start while it is on; my understanding is that it is a heating element for the intake air to help start the truck up (if am wrong let me know....) and if that is the case then I don't see how it could do any harm to start it if the air hasn't heated up yet, I think it is specifically to help start. Please someone else let me know if I am write or wrong...

You hit the nail right on the head Sereguial !!

moconst - ( what does that mean anyway .... LOL ) do you see your amp gauge raise after a few seconds even though the light doesn't come on? Your alt gauge would read a tad low while the heater is on, but then when it cycles off it would go back to normal.

All in all though, it sounds like an Edge problem. Give them a call, and if you should decide to sent it back to them make sure when you disconnect it that you also disconnect the harness from the MAP sensor ( whatever that is ) I've read before that your truck will run like a dog if you don't and that it'll store some sort of code somewhere ( whatever that means )

I will grab my manual today, if I remember correctly it will come on if the eng temp is under 67. I will run out and double check the manual in a few min.

mocost-

I haven't seen my "wait to start light" in a while either. I think your two issues are probably unrelated.
