I wouldnt put them past installing a quick disconnect pin for that. . .they have to have some sort of engineering somewhere that works.

The more I think about it, the more I can think of that has to be disconnected ( brake lines, water lines, washer fluid, ect )

It sounds cool to be able to lift it right off, but it also sounds like a PITA job, however I'm sure the guy's at ford have got it down pat now.

I dont think I am 100% on this, but there are 6-8 bolts holding the cab to the frame. those bolts come out, undo the quick dissconnects, pull the A/C system and use some straps to some lift points on the bottom of the cab and lift.

a similar procedure has to be done to the 6.0's to pull the heads off. only instead of yanking the whole cab off they just pull the mounting bolts and lift it up enough to gain acess to the head through the wheel well.

You know, there just seems to be something inherently wrong with having to design a mounting system that lets you pull the WHOLE cab off the truck to work on the engine.. But then again when you have the engine buried so deep in poop that you need the room I guess it makes sense... Im really glad I discovered the Dodge/Cummins combo. [sm=happy046.gif]
