I will be getting a new diesel this time next year. I was stuck between 2 choices: 6.7L Cummins or the 6.6L Duramax lmm. I have read many posts and test driven both. My research shows that the 6.7 will get better gas milage and the 6.6's regeneration process in more reliable. Dodge rocks! I don't think I could jump ship for Chevy. The 6.7 has got some pop. It is a beast. The 6.6 has got some pop also. It was a tough decision. Chevy: ride quality (from what I hear), Allison transmission, 6.6 been out longer, less problems with regen... Dodge: ride quality (?), 6 speed auto, 6.7 is getting the kinks worked out, little bit more prob with regen. Also, I can't go chevy because my brother has one. It is kinda ugly (the new design). Dodge design is awesome! I will be looking to buy a 2500 QC 6.7 3.73 4x2. I am worried about the design change in '09. I will buy an '08.

 

I'm not aware or have seen a design change on the 09's, but if you've decided on the Dodge, regardless of the year, you've made the right choice.

I have heard of a body restyle for 09, but havent seen much yet. this is when the small V8 diesels are supposed to hit the 1500's. wouldnt mind seeing the Dak guys getting the 4.6L under the hood. . .that would be a heck of a sleeper.

We have a couple 08 fords in our fleet we just got here on the base. We all agree that they look like an Ugly ford truck had sex with a retarded baluga whale. I have no idea how that truck got through design. It's friggin ugly.

 

Maybe THESE will make a comeback ???

 

ha ha ha. . .the dodge duke. . .even came with factory stacks. . .just need to have a pumped up 12 valve dropped under the hood to roll the coal and that would be an awsome truck.

 

There is one of those that runs around by me, it even has two sun roofs side by side (not sure if that was factory or not??).

Yeah, I don't know if it was a factory option or not, but it WAS a popular item. I don't think it was. I remember seeing them in vans and stuff.

 

yea in all honesty I agree with you guys as well. the older chevy's and fords as in before this year were decent looking. but now I mean honestly wtf. My neighbor got one and I laughed teh first time I saw it. His front bumper is sooo low it almost bottoms out when pulling out of his driveway.
