I changed mine when first bought my truck used 5000km ago but I was thinking of giving truck oil change every 5000km with shell rotella 15w40 and every 2nd oil change change fuel filter. does this sound right?

 

I had a 93 cummins and I changed mine every15,000 miles, and will do the same in my 06

 

Usually evey 10k but with the fass system, I think it's gonna be 15k

 

I will change it when I remember...should a had the mech do it when the fi pimp was replaced last week

 

I change it about every 10k or so. When I first got the truck I had to change it every 5k. The tank had a bunch of junk in it and was making the filter pretty nasty. The first time I changed it it looked like there was algae growing on it. Didn't have a clue back then that bacteria can grow in diesel if it stands too long.

 

I do mine every three months which is about 10k

 

I change my oil andfuel filter every 5k miles. When I go to synthetic at around 20k miles I will probably change it every 10k miles. I know I change it too often but I cant help it.

 

i used to do it everying 6k and now everyone said around 10k so thats what im doing..

 

fuel filters don't cost that much so I change mine every time I change the oil at 7500 miles. The trucking company I used to work for did it that way and it seem to work with no problem that was at 15000 miles

 

Unless I see the fuel pressure drop, I'll also be changing mine ever 15K also
