I hate welding which sucks because that is what I do for a living.
lol I hear you, I went to school for welding but thought I would not like to do it for a living. I do like being able to weld at home for personal projects and such.

I put down my tig rig and picked up a tape measure and started fitting pipe about a year ago but I still have to weld on occasions.

Her are some shots of my Aero. Just make sure you mount it the right way *cough* God ram It *cough*

The rings on the Aero have to face the REAR of the truck !! I cut out the cat, straight piped it there, and mounted the Aero back where the stock muffler was.I absolutely love it !! Sounds AWESOME !!

I did the 4040 in place of the cat and have an aftermarket muffler inplace of the stocker. It sounds great.

I kind of want to leave the cat on and go with the aero were the muffler is.

I would go with a 4040 if you're going to do that

I say their answer is no.

between the two mufflers the power difference wont be noticable to you. maybe not even on a dyno.

but the sound will be different. If I did it over again I'd go for straight pipe and the XL
You were right bro, here is their reply.

Now I just need to crawl under the truck and measure the stock muffler.

Oh the dyno on an 06 5.9L there was a gain of 16HP and 28Torque with a 4040 installed per Aero Exhaust.

AND the cat if you are gonna loose that too.

You'll need enough straight pipe to make up for the difference in length in the muffler, as well as the missing kitty.
