Hello to my little friends out there! How are ya?
Ok enough *** kissin... question time:
If my rig takes that low sulfur SHtuff and I am cruizin cross country and can't find a stop that sells Diesel #2 ( i don't know if that's a viable question or not... maybe they allsell D#2 and i'm just ignorant) do I just put in regular Diesel?
What would happen if I put in regular Diesel? Should I never leave the comfort of my usual gas station... the cashier is pretty good lookin after about 4 beers... at 8 she's pretty damn hot and I start buying other peoples gas just to go in and look at her!
Sorry bout that... too much info! Anyway... what do you think?
Thx guys...

I think your truck takes the new ultra low sulfer (the old stuff is called low sulfer). I don't think the "#" of the diesel has anything to do with whether or not it is low or ultra low sulfer. Pretty much all stations will sell the ultra low sulfer now, so you don't have anthing to worry about, wouldn't hurt to look at the pump just in case though

that's good to know that most all places will sell the good stuff... BUT (here's my problem in life... i always have to look at the other side) what if I pull up on fumes and realize I am up the creek without my turbo and find that the only thing available is the old goods?
It's like going to my local pub and finding out they don't carry my beer anymore... i'm screwed because if i go home i'm drinkin the hard stuff!
Thx all!

As a member of the "6.7 Club" you need to use only Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel (ULSD) in your tank, assuming you still have allthe emissions equipment in your exhaust system. Supposedly just a couple tanks full of Low Sulfur Diesel can damage your diesel particulate filter, and your warranty can be voided as a result.
I read about a guy who posts on the TDR forum who said he occasionally fills up his 6.7L with LSD when he is on the road and can't find ULSD. He claims his engine runs fine, but his engine started blowing soot after a couple thousand miles. My engine started blowing soot at about 1,500 miles, and I have fed it a steady diet of ULSD.
Oh, and maybe you should stick to no more than three beers per day!

i'm no stranger to being clogged up prematurely... but my truck being clogged up - not too sure i'd be happy with that!
Good to know! How much would it cost to repair that? the family and i are planning on doing some good traveling this next summer and starting to plan now. is there a website that would list diesel stops for trips we want to take?
Am I too needy? Just love me ok? All I need is to be held!

I saved over $150 just by checking these places on a trip to AZ and back. With the 90 gallon fuel tank I was able to drive thru the high areas and fill up at the cheap spots.
