I have a Garmin and I love it. It's the C 330 i think. I'm not much for computers and all of that techie stuff, but the Garmin was good to go right out of the box and it has lifetime map updates. I got it at Walmart for $288.00

this is what I have. . .Garmin eTrex Vista Cx. . .comes with a 32megs SD micro but is upgradeable to what ever you want, has topo maps and alot of dirt roads. works VERY well and is accurate to about 6 feet.

however if you want real accuracy I have an Autek 620 time base standard that is accurate to a 1/4 inch and has a Rhubidium base clock so I can time my equipment with a 10mhz signal that is accurate to 1pHz( 1 picohz equals 0.0000001Hz)
yea, I'm a geek

I think thats the same one my Pop has Drew. he uses it for something called "Geo-cahsing?" In a nutshell, he uses it to find stuff that someone else has hidden somewhere. Once he finds it ( some sort of tube with trinkets inside ), he adds his stuff, and puts it back for someone else to find. Apparently it's pretty popular with the "seniors"

We also have an Etrex Vista and an Etrex Legend Cx that we use for geocaching. We are pretty big into it. Fun hobby. You can find us on geocaching.com as Tommygunz & Tanya!! We are also techno gadget nerds, but I beleive we have had this discussion on another topic before Drew.
