Default What is this called!

K. I believe according to drew this thing is broke. But I'm not sure what the technical name is for it. I asked. They were like what are you talking about. Tried to give me some bull **** about how i was wrong. Pissed me off I told them I wasn't and I knew what was wrong and that this is what I needed. They got upset. Never the less besides the point what is it?

that's the relief valve on your rail. It prevents you from running too much psi at the rail. I believe it's designed to blow out at 28K psi but, the rail itself an take up to 30K psi.

I guess it would be hard to tell if it's bad. They're designed to blow off one time and be replaced. I an't imagine how you would have blown it though.

That's a mighty purrtie engine.

yup. . .rail relief valve. . .I snagged that pic from TDR which was a demo cut-a-way engine of the 6.7L.

I'd like to have a set of them fancy chromed out injector lines

The outlet of the relief feeds back to the tank and is the same return line as for the injection pump bypass return and will be full of fuel all the time.

the 03's I believe have a seperate line running back to the tank from the rail relief valve. . .and realy the best thing to do would be to remove the line all the way. if you have fuel comeing out of the valve then it is bad.
