Diesel Smell
As a kid I grew up around old v8's and diesel engines. Now a days I get a smell of rich diesel exhaust or an older gasvehicle burning alittle rich(Usually pre 80's) and it just makes me smile. Now i'm curious to see if anybody else likes the smell of Diesel fumes or not.
I wasn't around much diesel exhaust as a kid. It's just another smell to me. There are other odors that can instantly take me back to a time 30+ years ago and bring a smile to my face. It could be the smell of a bilge on an old boat, or someone browning ground beef on a skillet, or that peculiar smell of oil and metal that you get in a welding shop.
I AM PASSONITE ABOUT THE SMELL[sm=happy046.gif]! i really love the days when the windows are all down and the winds coming from behind while your stoped so all the exhaust comes at cha for a second
I grew up around tractors and pickups that were diesel. Yes we had gas for shopping but I just hate the smell of gas.

I was brought up on my grandparent's farm, what seems another lifetime ago. I loved the smell of diesel exhaust on a cold winter morning out in the middle of nowhere. Now when I smell it, it brings an immediate smile to my face reminding me of simpler times.
Diesel exhaust doesn't smell all that bad. Gas exhaust on the other hand is pretty sickly to me and makes me glad I've got my CTD.
Diesel smoke...now I try not to breathe that too often...means you're losing...

I love the smell of a cold Detroit in the morning, I had Dad's 40 foot MCI in my back yard for a year an a half while we where starting conversion to a motor-coach, I would start it every week and take it for a long drive 200 miles once a month just to keep things up and running.
It's been on the road now for 15 years and still going strong, it's up north somewhere right now till it get cold and Dad will come back to Fla
