Default AUTO LOCKING DOORS

the doors automatically locking has been driving me Nucking Futs!!!!!!!!!! [:@]

i guess i'm just not used to it- current dodge is the ONLY ride i've ever had w/power anything... but it just annoys the f*ck outta me when i go to get something in the back and the doors are f*cking locked...

i read in the manual that you have to turn the key on/off in a certain amount of time then lock the doors and wait for a confirmation chime... i've tried sooo many times and cannot get it..... i wonder is it any different on the manual trans because of the key release button... anyone w/a manual trans have a similar problem or even tried to disable it period...??

I changed it on mine, only took one try. You have to make sure you meet all the requirements, I konw one of them is that the door had to be closed I think. Read it carefully and take it one step at atime.

I did that the second day I owned the truck. I was driving me crazy. I had better luck than you. It only took me two tries but I have an auto.

Good luck

I like the auto locks on mine. I dunno why, I guess the past 7 trucks I have had have all had power everything, so I am used to it I guess, lol.

Did you know that the truck can be configured to unlock ALL doors apon opening one? read the manual and it'll show you the light.... follow word for word.. and if you do it just right it'll work...

I had a different style of auto locking doors. It was called "shut the door too hard and all the damn doors lock on you"...makes for good fun to try and get back into the truck during a snowstorm.

ya im talking about the temp console on the top of the truck. i will try and see if i can take some pics of it to better show. anywayz turn the truck on leave it in park and u hit the far left button and click threw it till u come upon personal settings. the u click the down arrow next to the first button. (see pics) next keep hittin the down putton till u see the setting that says auto door lock and it should say off or on. u us the button on the right side that look like > and says reset, and u can turn that function on or off. (see pics). next u hit the down button one more time and u wanna turn on the auto unlock on exit to on. if u dont do this then when u exit the vehicle ur doors will stay locked unless u open them from the inside. (see pics) hopefully this crude explention will help lol.
