Default New truck , Have a few questions

Hi,
I'm green to this forum, and green to dodge diesels. I had a 2006 2x4 quad cab with a hemi, and recently traded it in for a 2007 2500 4x4 mega cab with the 6.7.

1.My question is this. Will adding a chip and/or exhaust while increasing engine performace , increase fuel mileage too?
2.what's the best chip/programmer for this truck? I know many people have the 5.9's and there's lots out there for it. Has anyone done chips to the 6.7?
3.Is the electronic exhaust brake just as good as the jacobs that you can buy aftermarket for the 5.9?
or simply said, is the exhaust brake the same as the jacobsone that's availfor the 5.9
4. If i wanted to upgrade the wheels and tires to something a little bigger. Nothing overly done , cause i don't want to lift it. What's the best combination for wheels tires.
5.I love this truck.

Welcome, a programmer should definately increase mileage. I would go with 33 inch tires to not be too radical and leave stock rims. Others will chime in on the brake.

congratz on the truck. Exhaust, Intake and chip are 3 big things that can improve HP and Mileage. And never forget your guages.

everything they said from what i hear being that im still pretty much all stock except for exhaust which i went with straight piped aero (two thumbs up for sound, no increase in MPG) but most importantly...... as cutterw says..... and also... [sm=welcomesign.gif]!!

Exactly or you can go with 295/70/17 or even 305/70/17 should be fine with no level or lift. I have 315/70/17 which equate to 34.5 inch.
