I was going to have my oil changed at the dealer this mourning but the 6.7 requires a special low ash oil and they didn't have any of it. You would think that if a company was going to sell a truck that required a special oil they might actually keep a little in the back some where.
I am through getting frustrated now I just laugh.

You still in the Pac NW? If so let me know and I'll send you out to my dealer - - they got everything in stock for the new trucks.

Go to Wally world. Shell Rotella is CJ-4 compliant. It's 8.88 a gallon. They also have the Mopar filter for the 5.9 (maybe same one for 6.7) for 9 bucks or so.

Don't forget that your new Cummins 6.7-liter Turbo Diesel engine requires low-ash engine oil; failure to use this type of oil can result in serious damage to the exhaust aftertreatment system in your vehicle. Be sure to purchase engine oil that meets CES 20081 standards and has a maximum 1.00 mass % content of sulfated ash.
The only Rotella oil that seems to be under 1% (or, 1% max) is Rotella T triple protection 15W-40 and 10W-30, and those are also the only ones advertised as being for the ULSD, and the only that meet CJ-4.

valvoline blue is whats in it right now thats what cummins puts in at the factory, I took that right off the cummins news letter. If you read the bottle it states specifically designed for the cummins motor and is cummins approved. Its a couple bucks more than the rotella

The Mopar P/N for the 6.7 is the same as for the 5.9, a friend was wanting me to split a case with him and I read the p/n direct from the removed filter on my 6.7.
These dealers are not really up to speed on this new model, must have been some secrets that the OEM didn't want to share so they really don't know much about the new 6.7 or the 6 speed tranny.
Just sell em and see what happens next attitude!
