Hemiriden

glad to hear that youre gonna leave boyhood and join the MEN by goin Cummins!!!

watch the weekly car ads in ther newspaper...dealers volley for money all the time. you may be able to save $10 g's on the truck by investing in the friday and sunday paper.

an associate picked up a new 6.7Cummins 2500 quadcab 6sp auto for $10 g's off the sticker due to local sales offers in the paper.

Yeah you shoud be able to talk down about 10,000 +/- from the window sticker.

So you are getting a 5.9L 3500 dually then??

Well here comes my 2 cents worth. I went from a 2000 F350 LWB Duelly to the 2007 6.7 Mega SRW and pull a 35' 5th wheel. The ride and road handling is quite similar, I don't miss the space in the bed for the most part, sometimes when I want to haul a 4X8 sheet but I can also keep my golf clubs, 2 sets behind the rear seat and still have a big cavern in the back for folks and other important stuff.
Of course the power I now have is unbeliveable and the systems handling of loads, braking, acceleration and balance is really a big 50% improvement from the duelly. I don't miss running over curbs on corners (those extra wheels out there) and the turn radius is much shorter even with the 4X4 box in front. I even carry a 50 gallon fuel/tool box in front of my hitch and still have some room for stuff. Oh, I paid just under 46K for my Larimie started out stickered at 54K

if i were looking for a new truck like you are i would get a 3500 5.9 QC long box. if i am not mistaken the 6.7 has more power stock then the 5.9. but with the 5.9 you can get chips, programers, turbos etc to make up for the power you dont have compared to the 6.7.

just my two cents

with wut ever you choose i hope and i belive you will be satisfyed.

The 6.7L does have a larger hp rating stock than a 5.9L. I bet the rwhp is more on the 5.9L though, because of all the emmisions control equipment bogging down the 6.7L. I would like to see two stock trucks on a dyno to know for sure.
