I have a 03 2500 and i was told by the dealership that there is no way I can Activate the High Idle on this year truck. Is this true?

They're right, you have the automatic high idle, however on ouryear we don't have the manual feature.

auto's are easy. . .it is just a matter of hooking up the computer to it and enabling it. . .if you have a manual trans, you just need to ground pin22 ECM connector B and then have it enabled

It is my understanding for the 03's you need TSB 18-004-04 you can look at the details at WWW://.dodgeram.info/tsb/2004/18-004-04.htm

It is a flash for poor cab heet and/or slow engin warm up in cold ambient temp.
reade all the details to find out if this applies to your truck, it gives complete instrucions so the un-informed dodge tech can perform the flash and activate the Idle-up feature.

If you ask them about a high idle feature they will not find it because it is not called that.

I have not had it done on ine but will befor winter this year.

Lets say you fire up your CTD and its 10 degrees out. Do you wait for a minute or so before you turn on the high idle? or go right to high idle?
