Thanks Black Cloud !!

I wish it had pics. Hopefully I'll be able to figue out where all of those pieces are that I need to tap into.
It should have pics in the instructions that come with it. If not you can go to edge's web site and down load the instructions. they have pics. Im not sure why they didnt show up in what i poasted.

I can see it now. . .mymileage is now down to 10mpg, but I'm closing intersections. . .whats wrong???
LMAO !!

I'm still not quite too sure how the second half of the settings work. The boost adjustment / smoke settings. I'm sure it'll be easy to figure out once I've messed around with it a bit. either way, I aint going past level 3 .... NEVER

first time you crank it to 3 and mash the go faster pedal you'll be wondering what this things realy made of

Should be the same as the '99. They might not have the 98.5 since it was a 12/24 year and don't want to make buyers think that all '98s can use the Comp.

I know this does'nt sound right but. Go to the year 2002 for the edge comp and at the top right side it will say user manuel. Down load it it will say 98.5-2002.

Ok. I couldn't find the pic from your gauge install. But if you could work around that rats nest that was under your dash I think you'll be ok. That was hideous.

Yeah, it's a mess. Those guy's who installed that alarm and created that mess should be shot dead. I'd love to fix it, but God only know what kind ofgremlins I'd encounter if I tried to tackle that job.

Sometimes its better to leave it be. The guy that had my truck before me put the electronics for the gauges in the strangest damn places.

Put to level 5 once mayfair , it'll put a smile on your face.
As for the install , it's easy just follow the instructions .
Wiring up gauges is harder than putting in this box.
As for the smoke setting u set the box on level 1 thru 5 then hold the button in and u go to the sub menu
use the arrows to either add or lesson the setting. This will I guess add or lean the fuel causing more or less smoke.
So basicaly ifu go level 5 and go to the sub-menu and move it so U have 5 leds lit U are at the top gain the box will give ya.
and you'll be burnin coal goin down the road.
