just wondering if you can order a regular cab short bed 2500/3500 cummins diesel ram? i have seen one but i dont know if they are custom built or not. if not i was wondering if you could put a regular bed on a 3500 chassis cab? if so is the swb chassis cab like a real short wheel base or is it like a regular long bed and the lwb intended for a longer flat bed? just curious thanks for the input.

 

I'm pretty sure you can get whatever lenght cab with whatever Ram you choose except for the Megacab. They only come available with a 6 foot bed however there is a company somewhere that will put an 8 footer on if you want one ( which I do )

That shouldn't be a problem to get. Just check with the dealer. They might have to order you one if you're buying new. Otherwise get an auto hunter mag and look in there, shouldn't be too hard to find.

 

I didn't know you could get a reg cab/short bed! I would of definitely gone with that if i would have known. Thought they only made the two frame lengths for the 3/4 and 1 tons

 

no you can't. according to the dodge website you can't but you can with a chassis cab if you wanna build your own bed. I wish they did tho cuz i'd be on that like no other.

 

They just look funny, espically when they area dually. It has been a long time since i saw one, but it did look funny.

 

^^ in dually it would but for some guys taht are single or just rollin with a fine lady and don't have a kiddo it is just fine to have a RCSB and at times more conveniant.

 

If you want one that bad, you have to buy a regular cab/short bed Ram 1500 and drop a Cummins in there.

 

that's just too much work and I don't thnk swaps like that really ever come out right I mean it's one thing to do engines but to go from a hemi to a diesel that's a bit much I think but mebbe i'm wrong and it aint so bad.

 

it has been done before. . . 1500 v6 repowered with a mean 12 valve and built auto.

saw it blow a C6 off the road, and I couldnt keep up. . .thing would straight FLY.

IIRC it was for sale on eBay not long ago.
