Ok. It was a good weekend...
Well, everything was going well and I got my new gauges installed. (Boost, Tranny temp, fuel pressure (although that sensor isnt hooked up yet))
I figured I'd do my first differential oil change and everything was going really well until the last bolt snapped and go figure... Its the one on the bottom. D$*#&$ F#($&#$& Bolt [sm=smiley35.gif]
Before you ask, yes, I was using a torque wrench so I wouldnt overdo it.. All the others came out fine and I started to feel it going wrong but by then it was too late.
So what are the odds that the stealership won't cover it and try to screw me? And am I really better off just taking it to my mechanic(who is REALLY good BTW) and letting him fix it..
Yes, i know I can get the tools to do this and I know the theory around it but....I'd rather not.... I'm actually leaning toward letting my guy fix it.

Ouch. Ok, that beats me.
Jake, I took your advice. (I figured I didnt spend 10 years as a kid in my Dads Tool and Die shop to not learn anything.) Went and got the extraction kit at the parts store and got that bolt out..
It was damn easy.. Jeez I feel dangerous now...

if it's on the bottom, it should be the easiest one to fix... get an easy out, can of liquid wrench and follow the instructions to remove it... then once it's fixed, buy yourself a beer for all the $ you just saved yourself

so there was plenty left for a nice tasty grilled ribeye.
All in all a fitting end to the weekend.
