2000 2500 turbo done?????

Default 2000 2500 turbo done?????

father-in laws 2000 2500- 83,000 km's

As he was passing a car yesterday they heard a pop and the engine lost a lot of power- still runs as normal but when ever he accels or goes up the hill-she smokes bad- no other knocking or noises from the engine. no cel on. pulled the air tube to the turbo- it spins freely and no noise.

any suggestions????

Check to see if you blown a intercooler boot

right on Herb!!!!!!!!![sm=exactly.gif]bottom boot from the intercooler to the tube was off!!!!!!

thanks again- father-in-law is a happy camper as the local boys was saying the TURBO needs to be replaced!!!!!!!!!

Tell your Father n law we have a CTD crowd here that can tell him more than he wanted to know about his truck, In December I didn't know anything, now I doing all my service myself, all thanks to the guys in the CTD section.

this is the first time he has had any problem with the truck!!!!!!!!
