if he's an auto your probably right steve. . .if he's got a stick he may be ok.

ok now u got me wondering, whats wrong with the 5"? How is the low end torque going to be affected and what will it change?

nothing wrong with 5 inch. . .personaly, go ahead and do it if you realy want. . .if performance takes a hit then you can easily go back. . .the reason we try and tell people to stick with the 4" is it can support up to around 550-600hp and you actualy loose exhaust velocity if you go to big. thus the engine has to work harder to push the exhaust gasses through the tail pipe and the loss of low end torque. . .for the most part.
